Digwyddiadau Drwy Gydol y Flwyddyn ledled De Cymru
Mae De Cymru’n llawn digwyddiadau ysblennydd sy’n berffaith ar gyfer grwpiau drwy gydol y flwyddyn; o gemau rygbi rhyngwladol trydanol yn Stadiwm y Principality i wyliau bwyd bywiog, dathliadau diwylliannol cyfoethog Cymru fel yr eisteddfod, a pherfformiadau modern deinamig. Dyma rai o’n hargymhellion tymhorol gorau i ysbrydoli teithlenni grŵp bythgofiadwy!
Uchafbwyntiau'r digwyddiad
Mae De Cymru yn llawn digwyddiadau gwych, dychmygus drwy gydol y flwyddyn. Mae'r calendr yn newid bob blwyddyn, felly dyma rai o'r digwyddiadau rheolaidd ar draws y tymhorau:
Ionawr - Mawrth
- Yn ogystal â Dydd Santes Dwynwen, rydym hefyd yn dathlu Dydd Santes Dwynwen , nawddsant cariad Cymru, ar 25 Ionawr.
- Mae'r gemau rygbi rhyngwladol yn digwydd ym mis Chwefror a mis Mawrth bob blwyddyn.
- Dethlir Dydd Gŵyl Dewi , ein nawddsant, bob 1af o Fawrth – fe welwch ddigwyddiadau mewn theatrau, canol trefi ac mewn busnesau ledled yr ardal, yn canolbwyntio ar fwyd, cerddoriaeth a thraddodiadau.
Ebrill – Mehefin
- Mae digwyddiadau’r Pasg yn digwydd o gwmpas y rhanbarth – llawer o helfeydd wyau mewn atyniadau fel Tŷ Tredegar a Phrofiad Mwyngloddio Glo Cymru: Parc Treftadaeth Rhondda.
- Cynhelir Gerddi Agored Brynbuga (sy'n cynnwys tua 20 o erddi preifat) ddiwedd mis Mehefin pan fydd gerddi'n edrych ar eu gorau.
Gorffennaf - Medi
- Cynhelir Gŵyl Deyrnged Glastonbury yn y Barri bob mis Gorffennaf.
- Music fills the valleys each July when Steelhouse Festival brings rock bands from around the UK and further afield to the hills above Ebbw Vale.
- Mae Gŵyl Rhwng y Coed , gyda'i thema unigryw o natur a gwyddoniaeth, yn digwydd bob mis Awst.
- Cynhelir Gŵyl Fwyd y Fenni bob mis Medi, a chynhelir Gŵyl Gaws Caerffili ym mis Awst.
- Bob haf mae rhaglen o gerddoriaeth ryngwladol ar draws lleoliadau awyr agored Caerdydd – gan gynnwys Castell Caerdydd a Stadiwm y Principality.
Hydref – Rhagfyr
- Mae Gŵyl Fwyd Casnewydd yn digwydd ym mis Hydref.
- Cynhelir dathliadau Nadolig Caerffili, gan gynnwys Parêd Llusernau Afon y Goleuni, ym mis Rhagfyr.
- Mae yna lawer o ddigwyddiadau Nadolig ledled Caerdydd o ganol mis Tachwedd gan gynnwys digwyddiadau golau a marchnad Nadolig.
- Ar Nos Galan cynhelir Rasys Ffordd Nos Galan yn Aberpennar i goffáu'r rhedwr chwedlonol o Gymru, Guto Nyth Brân.
Calendr digwyddiadau
Cyngres ac Expo Worldchefs 2026
From May 16-19, 2026, Newport, Wales will host Worldchefs Congress & Expo, a biennial event and global celebration, set to shape the future of food. For the first time in its 98-year history, the event will be held in the United Kingdom, making this a landmark moment for Wales.

Samarpan's Double Bill
Samarpan's Double Bill Dance Performance will spotlight two developing Bharatanatyam practitioners alongside a Live Orchestra and the Samarpan Ensemble. Taking place at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, the event will feature two young Welsh dancers - Nithya Menon and Ann Sunny - both well-established performers who have completed their Arangetram and continue to refine their artistry with dedication and depth. Students of Samarpan, they train under the guidance of Dr Santosh Nair, whose mentorship shapes their strong technical foundation and expressive approach to Bharatanatyam. The evening will be preceded by a 20 minute performance by the Samarpan Ensemble.

Gwyl Fach Y Fro
Gŵyl Fach y Fro returns to Barry Island this May! This year the festival is teaming up with Run4Wales to bring a whole weekend of Welsh music, culture and good vibes, and all for free. Gŵyl Fach y Fro on Saturday 16 May, and Barry Island 10K on Sunday 17 May. One location, two days of pure buzz!

Barry Island 10K
The Barry Island 10K returns this May! On Sunday 17 May 2026 - sun, sea, and sand provide the backdrop to the Barry Island 10K – which brings a summertime festival of running to the popular seaside resort. The 10K race takes place on fully closed roads passing all of the town's most scenic seaside spots and recognisable landmarks – including Whitmore Bay, the Knap, Romilly Park and Watch House Bay. A host of Junior Races including a Fun Run, Toddler Dash and competitive Future Challengers event take place along the promenade – giving budding athletes and families a chance to get in on the action. Race entries start at £32 and you can enter here. The event is delivered by Run 4 Wales (R4W).
