Description
Pontypool town centre has been home to a weekly market since 1690.
In 1846, the weekly Blue Boar Field open-air market was launched on the site of what is now Pontypool Indoor Market.
The existing market hall was built in the Victorian era and is home to a range of food stalls, arts and crafts, barbers and a pet stall.
There is a hub space suitable for workshops available to hire, as well as a stall equipped for pop-up food events.
The town is still home to a weekly outdoor market and pop-up artisan markets throughout the year.
The market is open Mondays, between 8am and 2pm, Tuesdays to Fridays, 8am to 5pm, and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays.
