Travelling to South Wales
Compact and easily accessible Southern Wales is only 2 hours down the M4 from London whilst Birmingham and the West Midlands are only an hour or so from our borders.
Southern Wales enjoys exceptional road links via the M4 (from London and South East England) and the M50/M5 (from the Midlands and North) ensuring that much of Britain, including gateway airports and ferry terminals, are within a 3-hour drive.

Travelling within South Wales
Around the region there is a network of major roads (M4, A48, A470 and A465) and then smaller roads connecting the communities. If you want to really see the area then take the smaller roads and chose indirect routes, take your time and enjoy the views.
There is a good network of trains services, with Cardiff and Newport being hubs where you can link routes. There is also a comprehensive network of bus services. To create your tailor made public transport plan use the Traveline Cymru journey planner.
