Explore the senses with a perfume-making workshop at Wales Perfumery, then sip your way through a vineyard tour and tasting at the family-run White Castle Vineyard.
Start off at the Wales Perfumery near to Monmouth. Here you will join Louise and her team for a perfume making workshop experience, and learn all about the art of fragrance creation. You will discover the building blocks of scent, learn about the history of perfume, and create your own bespoke fragrance under the expert guidance of an artisan perfumer, all whilst looking out over the 500 year old Secret Walled Garden where her lab is located.
Take a lunch stop in Monmouth.
Then travel to White Castle Vineyard and meet Robb, the passionate owner of this delightful vineyard. Your visit will include tours of the vineyard and the winery, where the grapes are converted to an array of unique wines. You will also have a chance to taste and buy the delicious produce.


Dive into heritage at Cyfarthfa Castle, with its museum, art galleries, and lush grounds, then hop on a steam train through the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park with Brecon Mountain Railway.
Start off at Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery, which is set within 160 acres of Grade II Listed parkland. Cyfarthfa Castle was built in 1825 for the Ironmaster, William Crawshay II, and really showed off his wealth and importance. The castle became a museum in 1910, and has spectacular art and eclectic social history collections, that tell the story of Merthyr Tydfil as well as collections gathered by the Crawshay family.
Take a lunch break in Merthyr Tydfil and take a walk around the town.
Set off to Brecon Mountain Railway to steam through Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) on a vintage narrow‑gauge railway. Enjoy a scenic 9.5‑mile return journey that follows part of the historic Brecon & Merthyr Railway, first opened in the 19th century.
Cheers to your group at the Hensol Castle Distillery, where gin tours and cocktail classes await. Then take to the coastal paths with Vale Walks, for a refreshing, story-filled stroll through sea-swept scenery.
