Pontnewydd is one of the oldest Golf club in Wales, it celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2025. It is sited on the hill above Cwmbran with great views over the town and beyond. This enjoyable mountain course has challenges for all who play. It is classified as a 9 hole course but in fact has 11 holes. Buggies are available but booking is required.
Along with good facilities and a modern clubhouse Pontnewydd is always well worth the visit. The club house offers a separate function room and a spikes bar. Catering is available for functions, Sunday lunches and afternoon tea but booking is required.
