Description

Sŵn Festival returns to Cardiff from 15–17 October 2026, bringing three days of live music to venues across the city. Instead of being based at one festival site, Sŵn gives visitors the chance to wander between different venues, enjoying a wide variety of performances along the way.

The festival is particularly known for introducing audiences to new and emerging artists. More than 150 acts are expected to appear across ten stages in 2026, with music from Welsh performers sitting alongside artists from elsewhere in the UK and overseas. From indie and alternative sounds to folk, rock, pop and more experimental music, there should be plenty to discover throughout the weekend.

Venues taking part include Tramshed, Clwb Ifor Bach, St John's Church, Jacobs Basement, Fuel, The Canopi, Tiny Rebel, Little O'Neill's and Porter's, turning different corners of Cardiff into part of the festival experience.

Sŵn celebrates its 19th edition in 2026 and once again forms part of the wider Cardiff Music City Festival. Whether you arrive with a list of performers you want to see or simply choose a venue and see what you find, the festival is a great opportunity to experience Cardiff's live music scene and discover something new.
