Unwrap 500 years of Christmas at Tredegar House.
This December, Tredegar House transforms into a timeless celebration of the festive season. Wander through grand rooms dressed in seasonal splendour, admire over 80 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and step back through five centuries of Christmas traditions.
From Tudor feasts to Victorian festivities and 1950s school celebrations, discover how generations of families at Tredegar House marked Christmas in their own unique way. Each room tells a story of warmth, joy, and togetherness - the very spirit of a Welsh Christmas.
With twinkling lights, festive music and a truly magical atmosphere, its the perfect way to unwrap the season in South Wales.

Santa & Scrooge Visits:
Keep your eyes peeled as Santa Claus roams the grounds, spreading festive cheer and laughter ahead of the big day. You might find him waving, chatting and sharing a sprinkle of Christmas magic with visitors young and old.
Inside the house, Scrooge will be doing his best to avoid all the fun. Will you catch him muttering 'humbug' or sneaking away from the Christmas joy?

Community Choir Performances
As part of 500 Years of Christmas, Tredegar House welcomes local choirs bringing the sounds of the season to life in the Stable Courtyard. Gather with friends and family under the stretch tent, soak up the atmosphere with a hot chocolate, and enjoy heartwarming performances that celebrate community and Christmas spirit.
