Frightworks - October/November at Caldicot Castle and Country Park

This Halloween… Caldicot Castle opens its gates.
But not to welcome you.

When autumn falls and the nights grow long, the wind wraps itself around the stone towers of Caldicot Castle like a shroud. Beneath the moonlight, shadows stretch across the battlements, and the air carries whispers older than the fortress itself.

By day, it’s a monument to history.
By night… it’s something else entirely.

You are invited on a guided journey into the dark heart of the castle. The path will lead you through ancient corridors and down into the chapel ruins, where something stirs in the blackness. The stones remember what happened here. And now… so will you.

They call them the Brothers of the Bleeding Oak.
Once guardians of an ancient covenant, now nothing but cursed vessels — their flesh long gone, their eyes hollow, their souls bound to a pact sealed centuries ago. Fed by the blood of the faithful, their power runs deep in the castle walls.

At the centre of it all stands the gate, the portal to the Tree God himself. It grows restless, its roots twisting beneath the ground, reaching for those who dare to come too close. And on certain nights… the ritual begins again.

The doors will close behind you.
The torches will flicker.
And the only way out… is through.

Twisted carnival trials and eerie contests of skill, but the ghouls love a wager, and they never play fair.
