Situated in the beautiful Taff Bargoed Valley, Parc Taf Bargoed is deemed by many as being the hidden gem of Merthyr Tydfil with its panoramic views and natural beauty. The park, formerly the site of three collieries (Trelewis Drift, Deep Navigation and Taff Merthyr), cover an area of 140 hectares and was the subject of an ambitious land reclamation scheme which transformed the site.
This Green Flag park offers visitors access to an area of exquisite beauty and spectacular views which have been shaped by the areas industrial past and recent redevelopment.
