Flagstone Cottage is a perfect holiday cottage for two but spacious enough for a small family. Children love the secret staircase through the wardrobe to the mezzanine. It is one of two cottages in the converted stone barn. Oak Cottage is at the same location and accommodates two people. The cottages may be rented separately or together.
Furnished in antique pine with original beams, Flagstone cottage has country charm and character. An open fire makes it really cosy. The French windows open onto the garden with spectacular views over Llanthony Valley and the Black Mountains. In summer wildflowers are everywhere. Over 50 species of birds have been spotted this year. Clare is keen to encourage them and is growing a wildflower meadow on the farm and there are wildlife ponds in the fields, while the river can be heard down in the valley.
A local pub is in the cellar of the ancient Priory ruins in Llanthony and is a short walk away.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in this cottage.
Bookings are accepted for a minimum of three nights. Please arrive on a Thursday, Friday or Monday.
