Description
The Devauden Festival is a three-day music and arts event held in the countryside of Monmouthshire. In 2026 the festival will take place from 22–24 May at Humble by Nature farm near the village of Penallt, close to Monmouth. The festival attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to enjoy live music, arts activities, and the relaxed atmosphere of a countryside festival.
The event first started in 2010 as a small community festival organised to support the local village hall. Over time it has grown into one of the best-known independent festivals in South Wales, while still keeping a friendly and welcoming environment. The festival focuses on promoting new and emerging musicians as well as local performers. Visitors can enjoy many different types of music including folk, indie, rock, electronic, and acoustic performances throughout the weekend.
One of the main attractions of the festival is the variety of stages and entertainment areas. There are several music stages where artists perform across the three days, giving visitors plenty of choice when deciding which acts to watch. In addition to live music, the festival also includes arts and craft workshops, wellness activities such as yoga, and creative performances. These activities encourage people to get involved and experience more than just music.
The festival is designed to be family-friendly and includes activities for children as well as adults. A special children’s area provides entertainment such as games, craft sessions, and interactive performances. There are also food stalls, local drink vendors, and camping areas so visitors can stay on site for the entire weekend.
