Stop 1Caerphilly Castle
Iconic castle dating from the 13th Century and the second largest in Britain. Highlights include a tower that leans at a greater angle than the one in Pisa and the impressive great hall, scene of many formal occasions throughout the centuries.

Stop 2Senghenydd Memorial Garden
Located in Senghenydd the Memorial Garden commemorates all those in Wales who lost their lives as a result of the coal industry. Every Colliery disaster is remembered on a series of ceramic paviers as part of a ‘Pathway of Memory’ around the garden.

Stop 3Llancaiach Fawr Manor
Historic manor house where costumed characters from the 17th century guide you around. Find out what life was like for the during the civil war. The house is also reported to be the most haunted in Wales.

Stop 4Winding House Museum
Museum chronicling the history of Caerphilly and surrounding area. A range of exhibits and a rotating series of exhibitions brings history alive. Look out too for the massive Victorian winding engine which comes to life on certain days
throughout the year.
