The Usk Open Gardens is a much-loved annual weekend held in the town of Usk, often known as the “Town of Flowers.” During the event, around 10 -15 privately owned gardens are opened to the public, giving visitors a rare chance to explore a wide range of styles from small cottage plots to larger landscaped spaces.
Alongside the gardens themselves, the weekend has a relaxed, community feel. Visitors can browse a gardeners’ market with plants for sale, enjoy homemade cakes and refreshments, and find plenty of scenic spots to sit, including areas near the River Usk. It’s as much a social and local food event as it is a gardening one.
