Pirates in the Port Shanty & Folk Festival

Following on from the huge success of Pirates in the Port 2025, we are bringing the festival of Shanty and Folk music to Newport again.
Up to 50 bands will play at 12 venues f(with a new band ever hour) from the High Street to the Riverfront, within easy walking distance, over the 2 days of the festival.

And it's all free!
In May 2025, hundreds of locals and visitors enjoyed some of the UK's best bands playing the music of sea and land, raising over £2,000 via bucket collections in the venues for 3 great charities - SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association), Wales Air Ambulance, and RNLI, and we will be supporting them again this year.
