Gather round the piano for a traditional Victorian Christmas in the parlour. Sing along with Victorian ballads, listen to comic songs and classical arias, and enjoy a short poetry reading. Learn about how Queen Victoria and Prince Albert helped to shape Christmas as we celebrate it today, as well as finding out about the older wassailing traditions. With a range of Christmas characters, from Charles Dickens to Dylan Thomas, and Queen Victoria to the Angel Gabriel, there's fun to be had for all the family. Complimentary mulled wine and minced pies will be served during the interval, a licensed bar will be available. To maximise your enjoyment of these outdoor events, please bring a rug or low-backed seating, a picnic and don't forget some extra layers of clothing! Refreshments will be available before the show and during the interval.
