Roman History

Caerleon AmphitheatreIf your interests lie in Roman times then you should make a visit to the town of Caerleon. Here you’ll find the remains of what was once the furthest outpost of the mighty Roman Empire. The excellent National Roman Legion Museum tells the story of the town in Roman times plus you can see the soldiers’ barracks and visit to the amphitheatre. As well as Roman links, legend has it that the town was home to King Arthur’s Round Table.
