You may be surprised to learn the Southern Wales is gaining a reputation for producing some excellent wine. The Sugar Loaf Vineyard near Abergavenny and Llanerch Vineyard in the Vale of Glamorgan, which produces Cariad wine, are the notable producers. If you prefer something a little stronger then why not try some Penderyn Whisky – made near Hirwaun using spring water from the Brecon Beacons.
